Lime mortar M5b

Dry industrial mortar (IS) designed and made in the factory, formulated with gray cement, lime, marble aggregates and special additives, commonly used (G) and (GP) for interior and exterior use, paving and roofing, with great plasticity and waterproofing thanks to the combination of the qualities of its components.

Composition

Composed of white crushed marble aggregates for use in construction, as aggregates for concrete and mortars (EN 12620 and EN 13139), cement CEM I - 42, 5R (EN 197-1 and UNE 80601), calcium hydroxide, slaked hydrated aerial lime (EN 459-1) and organic additives to improve the workability of the mortar, reduce mixing water, increase cohesion, reduce exudation and avoid segregation.

The dry mortar Grey M5b CAL is multipurpose. It is used for plastering, raising walls, load-bearing walls, traditional masonry with bricks and tiles, terrazzos, prefabricated concrete and thermoclay, filling and regrowing

  • Preparation of the substrate: clean and dampen the substrates before application. The substrate must be completely hardened, resistant, consistent, clean of dust, paint, oil, etc.
  • Preparation of the mixture: always use clean running water. Add 3.75-4 l. of mixing water per bag and mix manually (mixer) or with a spraying machine until a homogeneous mass is obtained and apply.

 

  • Do not apply at low temperatures and high humidity, with rain or with risk of frost. The application temperature must be between 5ºC and 30ºC.
  • Do not apply on plaster or in union of easily disintegrable pieces.
  • Not recommended for machine projection.
  • To achieve a satisfactory finish it is advisable to wet several times the applied mortar, during the first two weeks from 24 hours after its application.
  • The addition of other material (additives, cement, etc.) can change the behavior and characteristics of the product.
