Self-levelling mortar L20 Plus

L20 Plus Self Levelling Mortar is a high strength mortar with high self-levelling power for regularisation, repair and levelling of interior and exterior surfaces, up to 20 mm thick, pumpable product with high abrasion resistance.

Composition

Composed of crushed marble aggregates used in construction, Portland Cement and additives of both organic and inorganic nature that give it better characteristics in adherence, fluidity, levelling power and resistance to wear.

Suitable for the repair and levelling of interior floors, both on new and existing substrates, up to a thickness of 20 mm. Levelling and smoothing of floors prior to laying all types of flooring (carpet, ceramic, wood, linoleum, etc.) where high mechanical resistance and a fine finish are required. Suitable for levelling on concrete, mortar, tiles, ceramics, natural stones, etc.

  • Preparing the substrate: Fill any small gaps or holes with the same mortar. To achieve a perfect finish and excellent planimetry in large works, spread flat feet evenly over the entire surface. Spread the product over the substrate in a single pass using a metal smoothing trowel with back-and-forth movements. On non-porous substrates, ceramic or polished concrete, apply a primer of FIXMAR PRIMER GR beforehand.

  • By hand: Mix a 25 kg bag of L-20 plus with 5.75 litres of water using an electric mixer until you obtain a fluid, homogeneous paste. Leave the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes, then mix again before applying. Adjust and smooth with a levelling trowel.

  • Mechanically: Adjust the pressure with water corresponding to the type of machine, until you obtain a very fluid paste. The desired height, marked on the levelling feet, is obtained by beating the product, giving the mortar oscillations so that the mortar itself levels itself.
  • Respecting the mixing water.
  • Respect expansion joints, structural perimeter joints.
  • Apply between 5º and 35ºC. In cold season, use mixing water with a temperature higher than 10ºC.
  • Protect from draught and sun during the first hours after application.
  • Do not apply on floors with permanent humidity.
  • In order to apply a second coat, the first coat must not be completely dry, otherwise apply a primer with Fixmar GR.
