We are aware of the impact of our mining and industrial activities, products and services, on our environment and we are aware of the need to carry out this activity by integrating into all its fields the consideration of criteria linked to sustainable development (environmental, social and economic criteria).
That is why, since 2009, we have been pioneers in Spain, integrating the UNE 22470 and UNE 22480 standards of Sustainable Mining Management into our Management System.

Priority is given to the purchase of consumables, the recruitment of staff and services at local level
We promote the mechanisms of communicative participation with stakeholders that integrate the socio-economic field and enterprise, promoting the company's social responsibility and greater implications in the social fabric, (school/teacher activities, meetings with social partners, promotion and public outreach, etc.).

With the aim of supporting environmental protection and pollution prevention in balance with our socio-economic needs, we integrate into our system of management of the requirements of the Environmental Management System under the international ISO 14001 standard and the requirements of the Community Environmental Management and Audit System of the European Union, Regulation 761/2001, of the European Parliament and of the Council, 'EMAS'.
The scope of ISO 14001 certification and EMAS registration is limited to the "XAUXA" mining operation, as a first step in the integration process in all the company's centres. Our efforts are aimed at energy efficiency in production centres, green energy consumption, the reduction of dust, packaging and waste emissions.
We drew up an annual environmental declaration on the XAUXA exploitation with the aim of spreading information on the environmental behaviour of the exploitation and the continuous improvement of the behaviour of the organisation in the environmental field.

Security and health
Concern for the safety and health of workers is a priority for AYMAR S.A.U. We therefore integrate the ISO 45001 requirements into our management and develop various initiatives aimed at promoting safe behaviour and healthy behaviour.
